Installing it

The download is a small disk image called QuizBlast.dmg. Installing takes about thirty seconds:

Open the downloaded QuizBlast.dmg — a window appears with the QuizBlast icon and an Applications folder side by side.
Drag QuizBlast onto the Applications folder next to it.
Eject the disk image (click the eject arrow next to it in Finder's sidebar), then launch QuizBlast from your Applications folder.

That drag matters more than it looks: running the app from Applications — not straight off the disk image or out of Downloads — is what lets automatic updates work later.

QuizBlast is notarized by Apple — Apple has scanned this exact build and okayed it. macOS will still ask once whether to open an app downloaded from the internet — click Open and you're set; you won't be asked again.

While you wait

The setup guide walks through your first game step by step — worth a skim now so launch day is a five-minute job. If your school's network is locked down, send your IT folks the IT & network guide ahead of time — it also has the managed-Mac profile for districts that require QuizBlast Cloud.
